The first race of the Filly Triple Crown is the Kentucky Oaks, which takes place the day before Derby. Attending Oaks is just as much of a show as Derby for many people although there are normally less people in the crowd. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Oaks this year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. From the decorated hats, to the Lilly drinks, and the highlight of the horses it was a great day. With so much going on I made sure to take lots of pictures, which can tell the story better than I can before getting ready for Derby.
